Beach Boys trivia:

What was the original name of the band that later became the Beach Boys?  The Pendletones, derived from the Pendleton wool shirts popular at the time. In their earliest performances, the band wore the heavy wool jacket-like shirts, which were favored by surfers in the South Bay.

The title track to the album "Pet Sounds" was originally titled "run James run" and was the Beach Boys idea of a James Bond movie title track. The more you know ...
